This song is a masterpiece of pop songwriting. Every aspect is pure gold. One of my all time favorites. I dismissed Del Amitri when I first heard them in the 90s and didn't realize how brilliantly crafted their songs are until later in life.

Del Amitri - great. Letterman- dickhead. That is amplifier feedback is not an annoying hum, yes it can be annoying but it's part of a tube/vave amp. Del Amitri's performance is great.

Nearly Joined DelAmitri many years ago 1989 great band. Me being full of confidence after having a Bilboard entry with a band several years before and doing session work i then played utter shite in the audition acted like a dumb fuck as well, needless to say never got the job.. the rest is history

I have always loved this song. It is unusual, and it is heartfelt; I really feel for the guy who wants the girl.

Very clear nice voice. Roll to me has always been my fav but the songs all speak volume even across the pond 🤗.
